Our weekend getaway!

Saturday Luke and I packed up and headed up the mountain to see my Mom and Tom. Chad had to stay behind and do open houses so he missed out on the relaxing time. The weather was like fall, cool and breezy. It was such a nice change from our 110 degree weather we have been having. Luke was such a good boy, he enjoyed sitting on the swing and watching the birds with Grandma. We went to The Malt Shop for lunch and then to the Lake to get some pictures. Couldn't stay there too long because it was just a bit to chilly for Lucas. Though we got little sleep with him, it was still such a nice relaxing 1 night getaway. I always come back a little more refreshed. We plan on heading back up there this coming holiday weekend and this time Chad will be joining us :)

What is that horrible sound?

Where do babies learn these things? JUst a few days ago Luke started this screaming sound and now does it everytime he is upset. It's not a cry but an actual scream. It is thee most annoying sound ever, I think I would rather hear someone chomp on ice, haha. How can you tell a 5 month old not to do that? I just hope he grows out of it!

Luke loves it when daddy plays with him and will giggle at anything he does. Daddy is his favorite person!

Handsome young man

I know most of you have seen this picture but I wanted to share it with the few who haven't. I thought it was a great picture and shows just how grown up he is getting. We took it in the car on Chad's phone last week. He will be 5 months old this week and I just cant figure out where the time goes. Yesterday was a big day with Luke getting his first tooth coming through and his first time eating rice cereal which he didnt do to bad with. Times are a bit crazy around here with his teething and not sleeping through the nights once again but we are getting by and loving it all.
