An update of the nursery

I have been having a blast adding things to his room and making it all ready for him. After the shower it definitley filled up and I am shocked to say I cant think of one more thing we need for him. I go in and look at everything almost everyday and sit on the rocker :) I am kind of impatient now in wanting him here already. I'm sure thats normal at this point. Crazy to think he can be here anywhere from 6 weeks or less. If I am having fun showing his room off I can only imagine how I will be showing him off. Cant wait!

Baby Shower

This past Saturday was my baby shower my Mom and Aunt gave me also with some help from my sister Stacey! I could not have asked for a more perfect shower. Everything was just so amazing from the little touches to the lunch table to the cupcakes to the games to the food and so forth... :) Leave it to my Mom to throw a classy, elegant shower. We got sooo much stuff for Lucas that I think we have finally run out room for everything. Chad and I are definitley blessed to have the family that we have. I couldn't ask for anything more.

It's going to get bigger???

Ok so I am 33 weeks and 2 days along so only 6-7 weeks to go but I cant imagine my stomach growing anymore. I am going to topple over soon. Chad is starting to call it the freak show, lol. I am getting people telling me everywhere I go that I look like I'm about to pop. Well I feel like I am about to pop :) I have these 1 on 1 talks with Lucas just asking him to be nice to me as he is coming out and telling him to try and stay under 8 lbs, so hopefully he is a good baby and listens to his mom. I am feeling him move around in there all the time and his kicks are now starting to hurt a little. Chad says he takes after him with his strength and I think he may be right. Well I guess we will find out soon!

Goodbye Tank

Friday morning Chad had to put his boy down :( He got Tank when he was just 9 months old and nearly 11 years later finally had to say goodbye. For the last year Tank has not been doing well and had a growth in his mouth that we found out was cancer that ended up going and attacking his whole body. He was a strong boy though and fought through for as long as he could. It wasn't until 2 weeks ago that we noticed Tank just couldn't fight anymore so we had to make the decision to put him down .You would think it would be a hard decision to make but just looking at him and seeing how miserable he was made it easy. Chad knew it was the right thing to do as hard as it was for him to admit it. So friday morning we had to say our last goodbye, as Chad put him in the car and drove off I couldn't help but cry for Tank and for my husband. Tank was a WONDERFUL dog that brought so much joy into Chad's life and into mine when I met Chad. He was full of spirit and happiness. I will never foget the first time I went into Chad's house and saw this 200 lb dog sitting on the couch like a human just staring at me, I had never seen a dog that big before. We have so many great memories with Tank and he is one dog that we will never ever forget. We love you boy!!!

Doctors appt.!

Today I had my check up appt. and I was so scared to go in and have them tell me I gained too much weight again. Hehe. The past 2 doctors visits they had to tell me that I have gained a little more than I should have and to slow down on the in-n-out :) Who would have ever thought, me eating too much! I love it. Anyways back to today... I went in stepped on the scale and covered my eyes just waiting for the nurse to say something but to my complete suprise she said great job only 1 lb more than 2 weeks ago. Yay!!!! So I went and celebrated by having a Costco hotdog and churro. Gotta love being pregnant.

The Nursery

So we finally got our furniture in on New Years Eve and had to put it together right away, I was too excited. The furniture is absolutely beautiful. He is one little spoiled baby already. This weekend Chad and I worked on painting the letters of his name and hanging them over the crib and I have also been working on adding the little touches. We just have to baby it up now and add the curtains. It is going to be the best roomn in house when we are all done with it! I will add some pictures now and then later whenit is all complete.
